ABOUT US
The Congaree NHB is dedicated to providing musical experiences & opportunities to senior adults in Midlands of South Carolina. The band is approximately 70 strong, and members come from all walks of life - teachers, doctors, lawyers, business people, and nurses - even clergymen!
The Congaree NHB program consists of four ensembles: the Congaree Concert Band, the Saluda Shoals Explorer Band, the Beginner Band, and the Crescent Moon Jazz Band. We will be hosting an informational meeting for
people who may be interested in joining our group.
We offer three entry levels for new members:
Advanced: More than 2 years of recent experience on your instrument.
Intermediate: More than 2 years experience on your instrument,
but it has been a while since you last played.
Beginner: No previous musical experience.
Choose the one that is right for you, then come enroll!
